USB Floppy Drive....
More Useful Than You Think
With the increasing use of thumb drives and optical drives, acquiring an USB floppy drive may seem unnecessary and a waste of money. But if you had a computer back in the good ol' days when floppies (3.5" diskettes) were popular, having a USB floppy disk drive may come in very handy. Just think about it for a second. Let us say that over the years, you are likely to have stashed lots of 3.5" diskettes that have loads of vital information on them.
How do you access this info or transfer it onto your laptop hard drive.Sure you could use the floppy drive in our desktop computer (if you have one or if your desktop's floppy disk drive hasn't died). But if you don't have a desktop, buying an external floppy disk drive that can be connected to your laptop via USB is cheap and workable alternative. Truth be told, many desktop computers do not incorporate floppy disk drives anymore. And it wouldn't be surprising to find that millions of users still keep precious information on diskettes whether for archiving stuff or as back-up. External floppy disk drives are inexpensive too. But we urge you not to go for ones that are too cheap as their qualities are suspect. Just take a look at two good choices for your consideration:
